On January 8, 2009, the Cavalier community lost a very good friend.  Mary Konkle, long time Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club of Canada member and Cavalier lover, passed away.  Mary was well known throughout the Cavalier community, in Canada, the U.S. and the U.K. as a tireless volunteer for various dog organizations. 

Through the generousity of Mary's sister-in-law, Maureen Bennett, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club has became the recipient of many pieces of Cavalier memorobilia and dog art.  It was Mary's wish that the proceeds from an auction of these items would be used to help Cavalier rescue. 

The auction was held over two weeks in December, 2009.  Almost $3000 was raised for the CKCSCC Rescue Fund.
